Dear Friends,

As you may have heard, my co-founder of Ocean City 2050 and friend, Jim Kelly, has officially announced his candidacy for Ocean City Council, Member-at-Large. We’re proud of the leadership Jim has shown during his time with Ocean City 2050 and also in his service on the Boardwalk Subcommittee.

As he begins this campaign, Jim is stepping away from his role as President and Director of OC2050 to ensure a clear separation between the organization and his candidacy. We are grateful for his dedication to civic engagement and open and respectful dialogue, and we wish him the very best as he takes on this new challenge.

I will assume the role of President of Ocean City 2050 and will continue with our mission of pushing for good government, captured in long-term planning, transparency, and public engagement. We will also continue to be one of the leaders around the public effort to instill those good government principles in the decisions around 600 Boardwalk, advocating for the completion of the Boardwalk Subcommittee effort, and the integration of their findings, as appropriate, into an updated Master Plan to guide the development of our iconic Boardwalk for years to come.
