Howie Atkinson has been part of the Ocean City community for more than two decades as a property owner and president of the Beachwatch Condominium Association. He has proudly combined business leadership with a deep commitment to public service throughout his career—as co-owner, with his wife Donna, of a four-store Hallmark retail chain in Southern New Jersey, and through decades of service on education, environmental, planning, and zoning boards and commissions, including 20 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, 15 of them as chairman.
Howie brings a wealth of experience in land use planning, redevelopment, zoning, finance, public safety, and master planning, supported by advanced land use training and certifications through Rutgers University—all informed by a deep commitment to Ocean City and a practical understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing coastal communities.

Susan Cracovaner has called Ocean City home since 2012, but before she made Ocean City her permanent home, her connection to the community began as an infant strolling the boardwalk in her parents' arms on summer evenings and continued through generations of family vacations. more than a decade ago.
A passionate advocate for good governance and civic engagement, she’s been active in neighborhood initiatives, local advocacy organizations, election efforts, and substitute teaching at Ocean City's Primary School. She is also a familiar voice at City Council meetings, where she speaks on issues related to planning, public safety, and transparent government.
Susan's professional background in project management, policy development, and strategic planning brings valuable expertise to the OC 2050 Board. She is proud to bring that experience, along with her deep commitment to her neighbors and community, to advancing the transparent leadership, responsible growth, and community-centered decision-making that help make Ocean City such a special place.
